Summary

Project Manager

Introduction:

We have an immediate opening at the Department of Employee Trust Funds (ETF) for a Project Manager/Scrum Master. Our team is responsible for BI/Analytics, a data lake platform, master data management (MDM), data integration, data conversion, data quality, data architecture, data modeling, data literacy, and data governance. Data is one of our most valuable assets and we strive to become a more data-literate and data-driven organization. This position will work on a small, collaborative team that uses agile practices to deliver value to our business partners. This position must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and identify innovative solutions. This position must have strong technical knowledge in data management and experience in managing multiple scrum boards for both project work and operations.

Responsibilities:

  • Experience leading and managing multiple agile teams using Scrum/agile methodologies.
  • Knowledge of both agile and traditional project management principles and practices.
  • Experience in team development and mentoring.
  • Directing and monitoring work efforts daily, identifying resource needs, performing quality review, and escalating issues.
  • Provide leadership to technical teams and evaluate project risks and roadblocks.
  • Manage team progress/status through JIRA.
  • Interpersonal and communication skills, ability to influence others and interact with individuals at all levels.
  • Work productively with cross-functional working groups and across organizational layers.
  • Mentoring, coaching, collaborating, and team building.
  • Develop and deliver presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Understand business needs and establish/maintain high levels of customer trust and confidence.
  • Experience in agile project management tools such as Jira.

Requirements:

Required Skills:
Minimum of 5 years in a scrum-master role leading scrums for ETL, data conversion, and/or MDM.

Preferred Skills:
Experience implementing SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework)
