Summary:
The Anesthesia Technician works under the supervision of the CRNA with the support of the Anesthesia Administration and Anesthesiologist.

Responsibilities:
1.\tWorks under the supervision of the CRNA with the support of the Anesthesia Administration and Anesthesiologist.

2.\tProvides ancillary duties and assists with patient care as directed.

3.\tAssists Anesthesia staff by preparing supplies; calibrating and checking anesthesia equipment; and programming devices.

4.\tOperates Cell Saver and other specialized equipment.

5.\tCleans and maintains designated areas and equipment.

6.\tOther duties as required.

Other information:
Technical Expertise
1.\tExperience in clinical perioperative care is required.

2.\tStrong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills required.

3.\tExperience working with all levels within an organization is required.

4.\tProficiency in MS Office [Outlook, Excel, Word] or similar software is required.

Education and Experience
1.\tEducation: High school diploma or equivalent is required. Associate\'s degree in a state approved Anesthesia Technology program preferred, Surgical Technology program, Medical Assistant program is preferred.

2.\tCertification: None.

3.\tYears of relevant experience: 0 to 2 years is preferred.

4.\tYears of experience supervising: None.
