Global SAP Logistics Project Manager Automotive Supply Chain

Join a leading automotive manufacturer and Tier 1/Tier 2 supplier that collaborates with 19 of the 20 largest automotive OEMs worldwide. This is a high-impact role focused on driving process improvement, standardization, and efficiency in global logistics and supply chain operations within a dynamic automotive environment.
Position Summary
As the critical interface between Business and IT, you will develop, implement, and roll out global standards and best practices for logistics-related ERP and material flow processes. Your work directly contributes to enhancing efficiency, productivity, cost reduction, inventory optimization, and quality across the organization. This role combines strategic project leadership, SAP expertise, and end-to-end process ownership in a fast-paced, international automotive setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the rollout of global logistics continuous improvement, standardization, and implementation projects across core areas, including:
- Warehouse Management
- Materials Resource Planning (MRP)
- Sales and Distribution
- Production Planning
- Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
- Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS)
- Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT teams: capture logistics requirements, develop specifications, coordinate implementations (including SAP customizing), and ensure seamless integration and deployment.
- Own and optimize end-to-end processes, including defining and monitoring KPIs, delivering user trainings, and driving sustainability and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with the OneERP team to implement and align the broader Logistics ERP Strategy.
- Conduct Plant Process Reviews, perform qualification assessments, facilitate know-how transfer, verify process sustainability, identify improvement potentials, and support ongoing user training programs.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 5+ years of professional experience in project and process management, with a proven track record of leading complex, international projects and cross-functional teams in the automotive industry.
- Strong expertise in SAP ERP systems, particularly hands-on experience with key logistics and production modules:
- MM (Materials Management)
- WM (Warehouse Management)
- PP (Production Planning)
- SD (Sales and Distribution)
- PM (Plant Maintenance)
- Experience with related areas such as MRP, MES, and CMMS is highly desirable.
- Solid understanding of logistics and production flows, including warehouse operations, material flow planning, and supply chain processes.
- Demonstrated consulting and customizing experience in SAP processes and modules listed above.
- Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage timelines, stakeholders, and international teams effectively.
- Strong communication and training abilities to drive change and knowledge transfer across global sites.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field (Master's preferred but not required).
