Job Title: Senior Appian UI Developer / Appian BPM Developer
Location: Charlotte, NC
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Appian UI Developer to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Appian BPM development (24.x/25.x), SAIL, and Appian Objects and a proven ability to deliver end-to-end Appian solutions, including EFR daily and BCGRS-governed RDA reporting.
Responsibilities:
· Collaborate with analysts and business stakeholders to translate requirements into Appian work units and deliverables.
· Design, develop, and enhance Appian BPM applications using SAIL and Appian Objects, including Records, Sites, Actions, Rules, CDTs, Process Models, Decisions, Integrations, and Data Stores.
· Code, configure, debug, unit test, integration test, and document application features and enhancements.
· Leverage Appian documentation and community resources to prototype and optimize solutions.
· Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve issues, perform root cause analysis, and update technical documentation.
· Support creation of user guides and implementation materials for new projects and enhancements.
· Partner with database developers, QA, and business analysts to ensure data integrity, consistency, security, and privacy.
· Adhere to SDLC standards, documentation practices, and Agile iterative delivery methods.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
· 5+ years of hands-on Appian UI development, configuration, debugging, testing, and documentation.
· Proficiency with Appian versions 18.x and higher, with preference for 24.x/25.x.
· Expertise in SAIL, Tempo, Forums, Smart Services, Reports, Plugins, and Deployment packaging.
· Strong knowledge of Appian Objects: Records, Sites, Actions, Security, Expression Rules, Constants, Query Rules, Web APIs, Interface Rules, CDTs, Process Models, Decisions, Integrations, Connected Systems, Data Stores, and Groups.
· Experience delivering EFR daily and BCGRS-governed RDA reporting.
· Demonstrated end-to-end Appian implementation experience (design, develop, deploy, package) for BPM, case management, and role-based applications.
· Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and perform root cause analysis for production incidents.
· Experience with enterprise databases and SQL, including data modeling and design.
Preferred Skills:
· Ability to work independently on assignments with minimal supervision.
· Strong risk identification and mitigation skills during development and deployment.
· Effective coordination and communication skills across technical and business teams.
· Background with human task management and integration deployment in Appian.
