ADMS/SCADA Technician

Title: ADMS/SCADA Technician
Location: Remote
Length: 12 Months+

•    Tech Lead with 10 to 15 years of hands on experience and Project implementation knowledge on DNP3 protocol, Hitachi / OSI / GE, SCADA/DMS/EMS system required.
•    Knowledge on Agile project implementation methodology & JIRA tool.
•    Will be part of DSCADA team, responsible for planning Sprint, participating in retrospective, Demo, moderating Daily standup call with scrum master.
•    Basic Knowledge on networking & cyber security will be an added advantage. 
  
  
Here is a description of SCADA engineer work focus: 
  
•    SCADA Modeling work
o    Constant display edits
o    Constant database edits
o    Ensure points are correctly selected for historization
o    Ensure points are correctly subscribed
•    Troubleshooting real time issues
•    Understanding interaction of DSCADA with the advanced applications as they scale
•    Serve as lead for control center ADMS questions
•    Approve C&I substation RTU spreadsheets
•    Process improvements:  example, process of sheets from C&I > Telecom
•    Establish working relationships with Telecom through commissioning efforts
•    Field Commission VVO points
•    Office Commission new devices
•    Deploying database updates to QA
  
  
With example tasks that the SCADA support contractor handles: 
  
•    Updating station onlines to correspond with changes in the field
•    Converting station onlines from EMS display to ADMS displays which is removal of transmission equipment
•    Updating feeder onlines to correspond with change in the field
•    Creating VVO control pages
•    Creating VVO SPL points
•    Modeling new devices in DSCADA is correspond with changes in the field
•    Modeling VVO points
•    Subscribing devices per Advanced App Engineer specifications
•    Understanding impact and interactions between DSCADA and advanced applications
•    Run wireshark to troubleshoot communications issues
•    Commission new VVO points
•    Office commission new non-VVO devices
•    Review C&I spreadsheets and provide input so that Telecom configures distribution port on substation RTU correctly
