Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Functional Consultant with strong expertise in the Project Management / Projects area to support our client on a part-time remote basis.
The consultant will be responsible for understanding business requirements, configuring and supporting JDE EnterpriseOne Project Management, assisting with project setup and costing processes, troubleshooting functional issues, and working with business and technical teams to deliver solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide functional expertise in JD Edwards EnterpriseOne Project Management
- Gather and analyze business requirements related to project management, project costing, budgeting, commitments, and project accounting.
- Configure and maintain JDE Project Management / Job Cost functionality based on business requirements.
- Set up and maintain jobs/projects, business units, accounts, cost codes, subledgers, and project-related structures.
- Support project cost transactions and integration with General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, and related JDE modules.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on functional experience with JD Edwards EnterpriseOne.
- Strong expertise in JDE Project Management / Job Cost / Projects functionality.
- Good understanding of project costing and project accounting processes.
- Experience with project/job setup, budgeting, cost codes, commitments, actual costs, and project reporting.
- Good understanding of integration between Projects/Job Cost and:
- General Ledger
- Accounts Payable
- Accounts Receivable
- Procurement/Purchasing
- Fixed Assets, where applicable
- Experience with JDE EnterpriseOne functional configuration and troubleshooting.
- Ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on JDE functional consultant, not simply a general JDE Finance consultant. The candidate should be able to independently understand project-related business processes, configure/support the JDE Projects/Job Cost module, troubleshoot issues, and work with technical teams when customization or integration is required.
