Job Description

The Role

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications using COBOL, DB2, VSAM, and JCL.
  • Provide support for development and testing environments to ensure smooth application deployment.
  • Manage L2 production support for mainframe applications, troubleshooting issues and providing timely resolutions.
  • Utilize Broadcom tools (CA7, Endeavor, etc.) for job scheduling, version control, and application management.
  • Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and implement solutions that meet business needs.
  • Conduct code reviews and participate in system testing to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Document technical specifications and maintain detailed records of system configurations and changes.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in mainframe technologies and tools.

Requirements:

You are:

  • 8-12 years of experience in mainframe development and support.
  • Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, VSAM, JCL, and Batch processing.
  • Experience with Broadcom tools such as CA7 and Endevor is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of core acquiring/processing business domains, including client settlement, interchange settlement, clearing/funding, billing, and disputes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field is preferred.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
