Job Description

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading day-to-day delivery of the Ongoing Development workstream within the DFD / Intranet Evolution platform. This role is highly execution-focused and requires hands-on involvement in managing development teams, tracking scope, and ensuring timely delivery of sprint commitments.

This is not a purely strategic or oversight role. The ideal candidate operates comfortably in the details—actively driving progress, removing blockers, and ensuring alignment across technical and business stakeholders.

This role works in partnership with a full-time ScrumMaster who facilitates Agile ceremonies. The Technical Project Manager owns delivery execution, scope management, and cross-team coordination.

Workstream Ownership

This role is responsible for the Ongoing Development workstream, which includes Sitecore platform enhancements, feature development, and backlog execution.

A separate workstream exists for platform integrations (Oracle, UKG, and other systems), supported by a dedicated Project Manager. While coordination across workstreams is required, this role maintains primary ownership of development delivery and backlog execution.

Team Structure & Working Model

Dedicated ScrumMaster responsible for Agile ceremonies and team facilitation

Cross-functional development team consisting of onshore and offshore Sitecore developers and QA resources

2–3 Senior Sitecore Architects providing technical design oversight and code quality guidance

Senior Technical Architect (Integrations) supporting Oracle, UKG, and other system integrations (shared resource across workstreams)

Director of Digital Transformation working at the intersection of design and development to support prioritization and user experience alignment

Close partnership with the Client Engagement Lead to ensure strong communication and overall client satisfaction

The Technical Project Manager serves as the delivery owner across this structure, ensuring alignment, progress, and execution across all contributors in a matrixed environment.

Key Responsibilities

Lead end-to-end delivery of the Ongoing Development workstream, including Sitecore-based development and enhancements

Partner closely with the ScrumMaster to support effective sprint execution while maintaining ownership of delivery outcomes

Manage and coordinate cross-functional teams including developers, architects, QA, and business stakeholders

Own delivery tracking across scope, timeline, and milestones to ensure commitments are met

Identify, escalate, and remove blockers impacting development and delivery timelines

Ensure requirements are well-defined, understood, and actionable by development teams

Actively manage backlog alignment with business priorities and technical dependencies

Coordinate with the Integration workstream PM to manage cross-team dependencies and risks

Partner with architecture leads to align on technical approach and implementation

Support release planning, testing coordination, and go-live readiness activities

Maintain strong visibility into risks, dependencies, and overall project health

Collaborate with the Client Engagement Lead to ensure client expectations are met and communication remains clear and proactive

Required Experience & Skills

Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager in a large, enterprise environment

Strong Agile delivery experience (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid models)

Experience working alongside ScrumMasters with clear understanding of role separation between facilitation and delivery ownership

Hands-on experience managing software development teams and technical backlogs

Ability to operate in the weeds—tracking details, following up on issues, and driving execution daily

Experience working with Sitecore platforms or similar CMS technologies

Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (Google Cloud Platform) and/or other cloud environments (AWS, Azure)

Experience managing integrations across multiple systems and platforms

Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)

Technical Background

Prior experience in software development, QA, or business analysis

Ability to understand and participate in technical conversations (APIs, integrations, architecture discussions)

Capable of connecting the right technical resources to resolve issues efficiently

What Success Looks Like

Development teams are aligned, unblocked, and consistently delivering against sprint goals

Clear ownership of the Ongoing Development workstream with strong coordination across integration dependencies

Scope is actively managed with no surprises

Issues are identified early and resolved quickly

Stakeholders have clear visibility into progress, risks, and timelines

Strong partnership with the ScrumMaster and Client Engagement Lead

Delivery velocity improves through effective coordination and execution
