Performs highly complex to advanced (senior-level) analytical and technical work related to the design, development, and management of Tableau dashboards and Alteryx workflows in a citizen developer environment. Responsible for managing the full lifecycle of Tableau analytics development, including business requirements gathering, functional specification development, prototyping, testing, implementation, and post-launch enhancements. Develops and maintains engaging and interactive dashboards that align with data visualization best practices, governance standards, and user experience principles. Collaborates with business users and stakeholders to translate analytical needs into actionable, data-driven insights. Works under limited to minimal supervision of the Data Management Services Manager with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.
Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
· Work closely with Data Warehouse and Server Analyst programmers to ensure data sources are accurate, available, and analyzable.
· Develops and maintains Tableau dashboards, reports, and data sources, including troubleshooting and performance optimization.
· Create and edit SQL queries within Tableau to build calculated fields.
· Create interactive filters, parameters, and calculations for preparing dashboards and worksheets in Tableau.
· Build and publish interactive dashboards on Tableau Server.
· Collaborate with Data Warehouse developers and Quality analysts to test, clean, and standardized data to meet the business requirements.
· Maintain workflows and ensure dashboard functionality.
· Work across cross-functional teams within various departments, including business stakeholders and technical personnel to exchange ideas.
· Provide support for issues and questions on using Tableau and Alteryx software.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs other duties as assigned.
Attends work regularly in accordance with agency leave and attendance policies.
Complies with all applicable agency policies and procedures, including safety and standards of conduct.
The Systems Analyst V performs all essential functions of the Systems Analyst IV, in addition to the following:
Provide guidance on appropriate governance and best practices around Tableau and Alteryx development.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Your application for employment must reflect how you meet each of the following minimum qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with a degree in computer science, information systems or a related field. Qualifying experience beyond the minimum required may substitute for education.
2. Four (4) to five (5) years’ experience (depending on classification) designing and developing business intelligence dashboards using Tableau or similar tools (such as Power BI).
3. Four (4) to five (5) years’ experience (depending on classification) working with MS SQL server.
4. Four (4) to five (5) years’ experience (depending on classification) in writing MS SQL scripts and MS SSIS packages.
5. Three (3) years’ experience soliciting, documenting and communicating user requirements.

6. Prefer experience working on a support team environment by documenting, researching, solving problems via phone calls or email ticketing system.
7. Prefer experience with Alteryx or similar product.
8. Prefer experience handling HIPAA data
9. Prefer experience in a PeopleSoft environment.
10. Prefer experience in Oracle Databases.
