Title: GIS Support Analyst
Location: Detroit, MI 3 days in office
Duration: 12 Months
Role Type: W2 contract engagement
Work Summary
- The individual is responsible for managing, implementing, and supporting GIS and IT software, equipment, and data on a daily basis to internal and field personnel.
- May solicit input from project managers and stakeholders in developing business case documentation, features, and requirements.
- Works closely with the business unit to review day-to-day support services, to analyze and to validate the accuracy of information, and work with the IT partners and leadership to determine the feasibility of solutions.
- Must be able to apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor s degree in Geographic Information Systems, or Information Technology-related discipline with least 4 years of experience using ESRI tools, such as ArcMap/Arc Catalog, ArcPro, Web App Builder, Field Maps, and Model Builder.
- Experience working with and management of ESRI versioning and replication.
- Experience with ArcGIS Enterprise, such as ArcGIS Server and ArcGIS Portal a plus, such as creating portal groups, managing licenses and users, managing ESRI feature and Geodata services.
- Experience running and managing GIS related Python scripts.
- Ability to work independently and with a team with varying deadlines and schedules, with multitasking competency on tasks, issues, and projects that may include high visibility initiatives and require innovation, teamwork, and planning.
- Ability to provide remote and field IT support for internal and external stakeholders, and users where necessary throughout the client s service territory.
- General understanding, and familiarity working with IT systems and troubleshooting hardware and software.
- Strong written and verbal communication and advocacy skills consistent with the ability to present the results of projects and research to management.
- Well-rounded knowledge of Excel, including building formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.
- Familiarity with Microsoft products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) to procure documentation, perform data analysis, and develop professional presentations.
Preferred Qualifications:- Experience with utilities, particularly, vegetation management, a plus- Knowledge of Smartsheets for managing and automating tasks a plus
Other Requirements:-
- Ability to come on-site at least once per week to the client Headquarters or requested location within the client Service Territory-
- Ability to provide technical support during early or late hours, and over weekends to ensure operational success where necessary
