Description

As a Civil CAD/Drafter, you will play a key role in supporting our engineering teams by producing high-quality technical drawings and construction documents for a variety of civil engineering projects.

What are the core responsibilities for the role?
  • Organize and manage project drawing files throughout project lifecycle
  • Develop plan sets from redlines, sketches, and engineering markups
  • Maintain CAD standards, layering, and file management practices
  • Create and update alignments, profiles, surfaces, corridors, and pipe networks in Civil 3D
  • Assist with preparation of construction documents, including plan, profile, detail sheets, and exhibits
  • Coordinate drawing production with engineers, designers, and other project team members
  • Revise plans based on internal QA/QC reviews and client comments
  • Assist with quantity takeoffs and basic cost estimating as needed
  • Support submittals for permitting and agency reviews

Qualifications, Skills, and Competencies:
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work in a team environment
  • Familiarity with municipal standards and construction documentation requirements
  • Experience preparing grading, drainage, utility, and site layout plans
  • Associate's degree or technical certification in drafting, engineering technology, or related field preferred. Relevant experience may substitute for education
  • 3 to 8 years of experience in civil drafting
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • We are open to entry-level candidates with little or no CAD experience who demonstrate strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and a desire to build a career in civil design. Training and mentorship will be provided for the right individual.
