  • Coordinate electrical and life-safety system interfaces with qualified specialists and the Government.
  • Review electrical distribution, lighting, grounding/bonding, backup power, metering, and utility-interface designs.
  • Assess load capacity, equipment ratings, coordination studies, maintainability, and approved performance requirements.
  • Review factory/site electrical boundaries, connectors, penetrations, energization sequencing, and test responsibilities.
  • Evaluate electrical submittals, RFIs, substitutions, technical changes, and nonconformance dispositions.
  • Coordinate power, fire alarm, controls, and communications interfaces with responsible designers and FRCS personnel.
  • Support electrical testing, energization readiness, integrated commissioning, training, and turnover documentation.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from an accredited program and 8+ years of building electrical systems experience.
  • Experience reviewing power distribution designs, electrical construction, test records, and relevant technical criteria.
  • Ability to interpret one-lines, load calculations, protection studies, grounding details, and equipment documentation.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain unescorted access to JBSA Fort Sam Houston.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, maintain accurate records, collaborate across disciplines, and handle project information in approved systems.
  • Ability to maintain a one team mentality amongst all stakeholders.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring:

  • Active PE; Texas licensure or ability to obtain it if required for assigned professional services.
  • Federal facilities, campus power, modular MEP, emergency power, and integrated life-safety testing experience.
