  • Pay Rate: $45.00 - $50.00 per hour

  • Schedule: Full-time

Daily Responsibilities


  • Design and develop electrical systems for simulated training devices, including AC/DC power distribution and I/O systems

  • Interface with avionics and trainer equipment using protocols such as MIL-1553, ARINC-429, and Ethernet

  • Create wire lists, cable drawings, system schematics, and top-level assembly designs

  • Collaborate with Systems and Mechanical Engineering teams to ensure cohesive, manufacturable designs

  • Work with vendors and suppliers to specify hardware and support technology solutions

  • Support design reviews, requirement reviews, and acceptance testing with internal and external stakeholders

  • Mentor and collaborate with engineers across multiple experience levels

  • Partner with CAD teams to develop detailed engineering documentation and drawings

  • Support manufacturing by resolving design issues and managing engineering change documentation

  • Participate in customer events, including configuration audits and maintenance training


Requirements


  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience)

  • Mid-Level: 3-7 years of relevant experience

  • Senior-Level: 7+ years of relevant experience

  • Experience with electrical system design and testing processes

  • Working knowledge of:

    • AC/DC power distribution and grounding systems

    • I/O distribution, networking, KVM, and control systems

    • Emergency Power Off, overheat protection, and audio systems



  • Ability to produce manufacturable, reliable, and maintainable electrical designs

  • Experience reading and interpreting vehicle schematics and technical documentation

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio, SharePoint)

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to present technical information to customers

  • Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced, project-driven environment


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience with government or military applications

  • Familiarity with AutoCAD software

  • Experience supporting design reviews, acceptance testing, and customer-facing engineering activities
