• 7+ years in private and/or public economic development
• Bachelor's degree (public administration, business, marketing, or related)
• Represents Kansas exclusively; no ties to competing states or clients
• Travel-ready across the territory and out of state
  
  

  Responsibilities.

  • Run assigned client files and recruitment projects start to finish for the Department of Commerce
  • Build RFI responses on Kansas properties, incentives, labor, and cost factors
  • Partner with Kansas local economic development professionals, site selectors, private-sector and utility partners
  • Engage C-suite executives and site-selection consultants to open and move projects
  • Learn and apply Kansas incentive programs and support documentation
  • Advocate for Kansas and drive client site visits
  • Represent the Department of Commerce at events, tradeshows, and conferences
  • Log all activity in the Department of Commerce Salesforce CRM; file a monthly activity report
