Job Description

An excellent opportunity to serve as a Software Engineer on the COSMOS team at the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Johnson Space Center (JSC). The position supports the development and maintenance of the Mission Control Center (MCC) software and the Mission Training Center (MTC).

Description of Duties

The candidate will work in a team environment and will be responsible for software design, implementation, testing, and user support after the release of the software.

Successful candidates will:

  • Work closely with team members to understand and fix issues that are found within the control system
  • Attend daily scrum meetings to track progress of ongoing tasks

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of C++ or Java

Desired Requirements

  • Experience with Linux
  • Experience with common debugging tools
  • Applicants with previous NASA intern experience preferred
