We re Hiring: Category Leader (Strategic Procurement) | Direct Hire (FTE)

Are you a strategic sourcing expert who thrives on driving value, leading negotiations, and influencing business decisions? This is a high-impact opportunity to own and shape procurement strategy for one of the largest utility companies in the U.S.

What You ll Do:

• Lead category strategy and sourcing initiatives for high-value spend areas
• Drive end-to-end RFPs, supplier negotiations, and contract execution
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships and performance
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Finance, Legal, Operations)
• Leverage market intelligence to optimize cost, mitigate risk, and ensure supply continuity

What We re Looking For:

• 6 10 years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain
• Strong experience in category management and strategic sourcing
• Proven track record in contract negotiation and supplier management
• Experience in utilities, energy, infrastructure, construction, or services sourcing preferred
• Strong stakeholder management and analytical skills

Nice to Have:

• Experience with SAP / Ariba
• Certifications like CPSM, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma
• MBA or advanced degree
