Position Overview:

Seeking an Audio Integration & Active Sound (AIAS) Engineer to support the complete development lifecycle of vehicle audio and active sound systems across multiple automotive programs. This role will work closely with engineering teams, vehicle program stakeholders, and suppliers to define, integrate, test, and launch audio and active sound features.

The engineer will troubleshoot system-level integration challenges, coordinate technical activities across teams, and ensure AIAS systems meet program requirements and production-readiness targets. The role will also provide technical support for ongoing vehicle programs, quality activities, and serial production.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead audio and active sound system development, integration, testing, and validation at the vehicle, system, and component levels.

• Partner with Vehicle Function (VF) and Core Functional Technical Specification (CFTS) teams to translate vehicle feature requirements into appropriate audio and active sound system specifications.

• Develop, maintain, and manage system-level AIAS specification documentation, including requirements such as EQs, CPDs, SGIDs, and related technical definitions.

• Review and interpret vehicle program series cards, product grids, and feature content to assess impacts on AIAS systems.

• Identify opportunities to optimize system content, reduce technical complexity, and improve integration efficiency across vehicle programs.

• Support early-stage vehicle program planning by providing input on AIAS system costs, technical requirements, development schedules, and timing.

• Work with internal engineering organizations and external suppliers to coordinate development activities, resolve technical issues, and maintain program alignment.

• Investigate and resolve audio and active sound integration issues throughout development and validation.

• Support system readiness activities leading to production launch, ensuring requirements, validation, integration, and issue resolution are completed on schedule.

• Provide ongoing engineering support for serial production, quality concerns, system performance, and field-related issues.

Mandatory Qualifications:

• Automotive industry experience with vehicle-level system development or integration.

• Strong knowledge of automotive audio modules and audio system architecture.

• Experience working with Vehicle Function (VF) and Core Functional Technical Specification (CFTS) processes and writers.

• Experience translating vehicle feature requirements into system-level technical specifications.

• Hands-on experience with system integration, validation, troubleshooting, and production readiness.

• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional engineering teams, vehicle program teams, and suppliers.
