Salesforce Tester

Experience:8-12+ years
Location: Dallas, TX/ hybrid

We are looking for an experienced Salesforce Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in Salesforce testing, functional and integration testing, test automation, and validating Salesforce applications across different modules and business processes.

The candidate will work closely with Salesforce Developers, Business Analysts, Administrators, and business stakeholders to ensure high-quality Salesforce implementations and releases.

• Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test scripts for Salesforce applications.

• Perform functional, regression, integration, system, end-to-end, and UAT testing.

• Test Salesforce configurations, customizations, workflows, validation rules, flows, reports, dashboards, and security settings.

• Validate Salesforce Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and other Salesforce functionality as required.

• Perform testing of integrations between Salesforce and external applications using APIs and middleware.

• Validate data migration, data integrity, and data reconciliation between Salesforce and external systems.

• Identify, document, track, and manage defects using tools such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or similar.

• Analyze requirements and prepare comprehensive test plans and test scenarios.

• Execute regression testing for Salesforce releases and enhancements.

• Perform API testing using tools such as Postman or similar.

• Validate REST/SOAP API integrations and web services.

• Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and reproduce defects.

• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

• Work with business users during UAT and support defect resolution.

• Maintain test documentation, test results, and QA metrics.

• Identify opportunities to improve testing processes and automation coverage.

• 6+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance / Testing.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications.

• Strong understanding of Salesforce CRM functionality and business processes.

• Experience with Salesforce objects, relationships, workflows, validation rules, flows, reports, and dashboards.

• Strong knowledge of Salesforce Sales Cloud and/or Service Cloud.

• Experience with functional, integration, regression, system, and end-to-end testing.

• Experience in API testing using Postman or similar tools.

• Good understanding of REST/SOAP APIs and integration testing.

• Experience with defect management tools such as Jira or Azure DevOps.

• Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Good SQL knowledge for database validation and data testing.

• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

• Salesforce Platform App Builder / Platform Developer knowledge.

• Salesforce certification such as Salesforce Administrator, Platform App Builder, or Platform Developer I.

• Experience with Salesforce automation and Apex testing.

• Knowledge of SOQL/SOSL.

• Experience with Salesforce Data Loader.

• Experience with test automation tools/frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Provar.

• Experience with CI/CD and Salesforce deployment processes.

• Knowledge of Salesforce security, profiles, permission sets, roles, and sharing rules.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.

• Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
