Summary
Job Title: Observability Architect – Victoria Metrics
Location: Overland Park, KS / Dallas, TX / Remote
Key Requirements:
- Expert-level Victoria Metrics production experience, including VM Cluster, VM Agent, VM Auth, VM Alert/Alertmanager, MetricsQL, cardinality management, retention/downsampling, federation, and failover.
- Strong Observability Architecture experience with Prometheus, Grafana, SLI/SLO, structured logging, and distributed tracing.
- Architecture leadership with experience creating HLDs, LLDs, ADRs, sequence diagrams, and interface contracts.
- Strong Security & Identity experience with HashiCorp Vault, Vault Secrets Operator, PKI, OIDC, and OAuth2.
- Hands-on Kubernetes/OpenShift experience, including Operators, RBAC, NetworkPolicy, SCCs, OCP upgrades, and multi-cluster architecture.
- Strong GitOps/CI/CD experience with ArgoCD or FluxCD, Kustomize, and GitLab CI/CD.
- Kubernetes/OpenShift networking experience including MetalLB, BGP, OVN-Kubernetes, CoreDNS, Ingress, and NetworkPolicy.
- Telecommunications/carrier-grade observability experience, including FCAPS, 5G/RAN/transport, Nokia/Ericsson telemetry, and NOC integration.
- Experience working within structured Agile/programme delivery environments.
- Strong executive-level leadership and enterprise technology strategy experience.
