Job Title: Data Analytics Engineer Duration: 12+ Months contract with extension Location: Elk Grove, CA or Austin, TX Or Sunnyvale, CA (Onsite on every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday) Client: Apple Job Summary: We're seeking a skilled Data Engineer with Analytics to join our growing data team. This role will focus on building, maintaining, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and infrastructure to support our data analytics and reporting needs. The ideal candidate will have strong SQL skills, data engineering expertise, and familiarity with modern data platforms. Experience with Tableau is a plus.
Key Responsibilities: - Design, build, and maintain reliable data pipelines (ETL/ELT) to support business intelligence and data science initiatives.
- Develop and manage data workflows using orchestration tools such as Airflow, dbt, or Prefect.
- Work with cloud-based data platforms such as AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure, leveraging services like Big Query, Redshift, or Snowflake.
- Implement and maintain data lake and data warehouse solutions (e.g., S3 + Athena, Delta Lake).
- Write clean, efficient Python code for data transformation and manipulation (using libraries like pandas, PyArrow, and PySpark).
- Create and maintain robust data models including star/snowflake schemas, dimensional modeling, and normalization.
- Ensure data quality, integrity, and consistency through validation, deduplication, and anomaly detection processes.
- Integrate version control and CI/CD best practices into data engineering workflows (e.g., Git, dbt Cloud).
- Collaborate closely with Data Analysts, Data Scientists, and other engineering teams to deliver high-quality, actionable data solutions.
- Support dashboarding and reporting needs using Tableau (preferred).
Preferred Qualifications: - 5+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering or a similar role.
- Strong SQL skills (8+/10 rating preferred).
- Experience with cloud-native data services (AWS, Google Cloud Platform, or Azure).
- Proficiency in Python for data processing.
- Familiarity with data orchestration tools (Airflow, dbt, Prefect).
- Solid understanding of data lake and warehouse architectures.
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and techniques.
- Experience with Tableau or similar BI/visualization tools is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.

Pay Range: $70/hr. to $80/hr. The specific compensation for this position will be determined by several factors, including the scope, complexity, and location of the role, as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment.
