Position: SQL DBA (Azure SQL & Performance Tuning)
Location: Houston, TX (Onsite)
Job Summary:
We are looking for a strong SQL DBA with solid experience in performance tuning and Azure SQL. The ideal candidate should be hands-on with database administration, optimization, and troubleshooting, and be comfortable working in an onsite environment with occasional weekend support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases in production environments
- Perform performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting
- Administer and support Azure SQL databases
- Monitor database health, availability, and security
- Handle backups, recovery, and disaster recovery processes
- Work closely with developers to optimize queries and database design
- Provide support during weekends or off-hours when required
Required Skills:
- Strong experience as a SQL DBA
- Expertise in SQL Server performance tuning and optimization
- Hands-on experience with Azure SQL
- Good understanding of backup, recovery, and high availability
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills
Additional Requirements:
- Willingness to work onsite in Houston, TX
