You will be the Software Engineer Sr. - AI / Data Visualization Developer for the Missiles and Fire Control CIO organization. Our team is responsible for delivering program technology and information systems through development of a Digital Command Center.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Software Engineer Sr. - AI / Data Visualization Developer you will be responsible for designing intuitive user experiences, implementing AI-driven data visualizations, and transforming complex datasets into actionable analytics.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Develop and maintain the Digital Command Center platform.
- Design and code AI and data-visualization solutions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on product design and Model-Based Enterprise projects.
- Translate business requirements into user-centered analytics products.
- Support planning, organization, and execution of enterprise initiatives.

Basic Qualifications Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, or related field
Experience: 3+ years combining design, development, and data visualization in professional settings
Implementation Ability: Translate design concepts into functional, interactive prototypes and production code
Experience with modern front-end technologies (React, Vue, Angular, Django or similar)
Experience using AI development tools
Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication with strong storytelling abilities
Portfolio: Strong portfolio demonstrating design-to-implementation projects, interactive dashboards, and data visualization solutions
Experience with a variety of design and DevSecOps techniques (or Software Factory)
Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-functional environment
Desired skills Experience in Design thinking methodologies
Advanced JavaScript, Python and CSS capabilities
Experience building and maintaining design systems and component libraries
Collaborative design tools (e.g. Miro, Mural, Figma)
Design software (e.g. Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch)
Agile development processes and CI/CD pipelines
Experience with diverse, remote teams
Knowledge of design tokens and scalable design principles
Strong user experience and interface design principles
Experience with data visualization libraries (D3.js, Chart.js, Plotly, etc.)
Experience with containers and Kubernetes
Proficiency with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Qlik, ect.)
Data literacy and ability to understand complex datasets and business requirements

Ability to work remotelyPart-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule InformationLockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $89,300 - $157,550. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

Premium Pay StatementPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $102,800 - $178,135. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
