Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Cybersecurity Engineer with strong experience in cryptography, Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC), application security, and security discovery tools. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of modern cybersecurity practices and experience working in Agile environments.
The candidate will be responsible for evaluating security risks, implementing cryptographic solutions, supporting application security initiatives, and helping the organization prepare for emerging post-quantum security threats.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and evaluate cryptographic solutions across applications and infrastructure.
- Research and support the adoption of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) standards and technologies.
- Assess existing cryptographic implementations and identify vulnerabilities or opportunities for improvement.
- Work with application security and AppView platforms/tools to monitor, analyze, and improve application security.
- Utilize discovery tools to identify security vulnerabilities, assets, dependencies, and potential risks.
- Collaborate with engineering, infrastructure, and security teams to implement security controls and best practices.
- Participate in security assessments, threat analysis, and vulnerability remediation activities.
- Define and maintain security requirements, standards, and technical documentation.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams in an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Support security architecture reviews and provide recommendations for improving overall security posture.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity threats, cryptographic standards, and PQC developments.
Required Skills & Experience
- Strong experience in Cybersecurity and Information Security.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cryptography, including symmetric and asymmetric encryption, hashing, digital signatures, and key management.
- Understanding of Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) and emerging quantum-resistant algorithms.
- Experience with application security and security assessment tools.
- Experience working with discovery/security discovery tools.
- Familiarity with AppView or similar application/security monitoring platforms.
- Understanding of key factors affecting application and infrastructure security.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with PKI, certificates, TLS/SSL, and key management systems.
- Knowledge of NIST cryptographic standards and post-quantum cryptography initiatives.
- Experience with vulnerability management and security testing.
- Familiarity with cloud security and modern application architectures.
- Relevant cybersecurity or cryptography certifications are a plus.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Mathematics, or a related field.
- Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
