Product Owner – Healthcare Capitation

We are seeking an experienced Product Owner with strong Healthcare Capitation experience to lead Agile product development initiatives within the healthcare/managed care domain.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with healthcare capitation processes, provider assignments, payment calculations, reconciliation, and disbursement, along with strong Product Owner/Business Analyst experience in an Agile environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Own and prioritize the product backlog for healthcare capitation systems.
• Gather and translate business requirements into Epics, User Stories, and Acceptance Criteria.
• Collaborate with Finance, Provider Network, Actuarial, Business, and Engineering teams.
• Lead Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Define and lead UAT strategy, testing, defect management, and production sign-off.
• Work with stakeholders to ensure healthcare capitation solutions meet business and contractual requirements.
• Ensure compliance with CMS, Medicare, Medicaid, and provider contract requirements.
• Analyze payment accuracy, reconciliation, and disbursement processes.
• Identify process improvements and monitor relevant KPIs.
• Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and delivery updates to stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Business Analyst, or similar role in an Agile environment.
• Strong hands-on experience with Healthcare Capitation within Health Plans, Managed Care, or Health Insurance organizations.
• Experience with provider assignments, capitation payment calculations, reconciliation, and disbursement.
• Strong understanding of healthcare/managed care business processes.
• Experience working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.
• Proven experience leading UAT, defect management, and production sign-off.
• Strong communication, analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills.
