Job Title: Architect / Cloud Engineer (.NET / C#)
Location: Stamford, CT/Rye, NY (Hybrid)
Work Model:
  • Minimum 2 days per week on site in Stamford (preferred more)
  • Remaining days split between New York office
  • 1 day per week remote (WFH)

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled Architect / Cloud Engineer with a strong .NET / C# development background to design, build, and support cloud-based solutions within a financial services environment. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working within a bank or hedge fund, deep technical expertise, and strong communication and collaboration skills.
This role requires hands-on engineering capability combined with architectural thinking to support highly scalable, secure, and low-latency systems used in trading, risk, and financial data platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement cloud-native architectures using modern engineering best practices
  • Develop and maintain high-performance applications using C# / .NET (.NET Core preferred)
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, traders, and technology teams to translate requirements into scalable solutions
  • Architect and support distributed systems, APIs, and microservices
  • Ensure solutions meet security, compliance, and performance standards required in financial services
  • Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and mentor junior engineers
  • Optimize systems for reliability, scalability, and low latency
  • Participate in production support and incident resolution as needed
Required Qualifications
Core skillset:
  • 8-10 years of experience
  • Kubernetes
  • AWS/Azure Cloud experience with .net applications
  • Infrastructure as code such as Terraform and GitOps
  • CI/CD Ppelines(Jenkins, GitLab, Azure Devops) for automating efficient and reliable software delivery
  • C#, .net core, asp.net core, SQL, Postgresz
  • Very comfortable working in CLI environments in both linux and windows
  • Experience on design and implementation of cloud native microservices applications with messaging, queues, REST APIs, kafka, SQS, etc
  • Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and communication skills
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in a hedge fund or trading environment
  • Knowledge of containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with event-driven architecture, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ)
  • Understanding of financial instruments, trading systems, or risk platforms
  • Good to have some backoffice exposure in building modern financial applications for hedge funds / asset managers.
