Vermilion Reporting Specialist

A Vermilion Reporting Specialist is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining financial and regulatory reports using the Vermilion Reporting Suite. The role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant reporting for internal stakeholders and external regulatory bodies.
Key Responsibilities
1. Report Development & Maintenance
- Design and develop reports using Vermilion tools
- Customize templates for financial statements and disclosures
- Maintain and enhance existing reports based on business needs
2. Data Management
- Integrate data from multiple financial systems (ERP, data warehouses)
- Validate data accuracy and ensure consistency across reports
- Troubleshoot data discrepancies
3. Regulatory & Financial Reporting
- Support regulatory reporting requirements (IFRS, GAAP, etc.)
- Ensure reports comply with audit and compliance standards
- Assist in quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles
4. System Configuration & Support
- Configure workflows, templates, and mappings in Vermilion
- Provide technical support to finance and reporting teams
- Manage upgrades and system enhancements
5. Stakeholder Collaboration
- Work with Finance, IT, and Compliance teams
- Gather reporting requirements and translate into technical solutions
- Train end-users on reporting tools
Required Skills & Qualifications
Technical Skills
- Experience with Vermilion Reporting Suite
- Strong SQL and database knowledge
- Familiarity with financial systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
- Advanced Excel skills
Functional Knowledge
- Understanding of financial reporting standards (IFRS/GAAP)
- Knowledge of regulatory reporting processes
- Experience in banking, insurance, or financial services is preferred
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Attention to detail
- Good communication and stakeholder management
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, IT, or related field
- 2–6+ years of experience in financial/reporting systems
- Prior experience with Vermilion is highly preferred
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in regulatory reporting (e.g., Basel, Solvency II)
- Exposure to BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Understanding of data governance practices
