Solution Architect

Job Summary
STAFFXPERT LLC is seeking a Solution Architect on behalf of our client in Houston, TX. This role is ideal for a seasoned architect with strong experience in commodities trading environments, capable of driving end-to-end architecture design, leading technical decisions, and delivering scalable, high-performance solutions aligned with business goals.

We are looking for an experienced Solution Architect to lead the design and delivery of enterprise-grade software solutions within a commodities trading landscape. This position requires hands-on technical expertise, strong leadership, and the ability to balance innovation with stability in a fast-paced environment.

• Lead architecture decisions across multiple portfolios, aligning stakeholders and managing diverse perspectives
• Design scalable, secure, and cost-effective solutions aligned with business objectives
• Apply enterprise architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF) and leverage EA tools for governance

• Partner with business and IT stakeholders to drive strategic and operational decisions
• Translate business requirements into technical architectures and actionable solutions
• Facilitate discussions across cross-functional teams and communicate complex concepts effectively
• Contribute to engineering and architecture best practices

• Analyze and resolve complex technical challenges within trading systems
• Manage dependencies, risks, and architectural trade-offs
• Drive innovation while ensuring system reliability and performance

• Strong expertise in one or more: Node.js, .NET, .NET Core, Python
• Experience building cloud-native applications on Azure and/or AWS

• Hands-on experience with React and micro-frontend architectures

• Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
• Experience with data platforms, Data Mesh, and federated architectures
• Expertise in data engineering, pipelines, warehousing, and lifecycle management
• Exposure to big data, streaming, and low-latency systems
• Experience in data architecture, including logical modeling and medallion architecture

• Experience with Azure services such as Functions, Web Apps, Data Factory, Data Lake, Storage
• Hands-on with Azure SQL, Cosmos DB, AKS, and Azure Active Directory
• Strong understanding of event-driven architectures (Kafka, Event Hub, Event Bus)
• Integration experience with API Management, Logic Apps, and messaging platforms

• Exposure to tools/platforms such as OpenLink Endur, SAP HANA, Salesforce
• Familiarity with ELK stack and API security (MFA)

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation
• Proficiency with tools such as Git/GitHub, Azure DevOps, Terraform, and Ansible

• Proven experience in solution architecture for enterprise-scale systems
• Strong background in commodities trading or similar trading environments
• Experience in cloud migration and modernization of legacy systems
