Summary
UNIVERSAL Technologies is seeking a SharePoint Intranet & Knowledge Base Specialist for an onsite role in Albany, NY to deliver the design, development, administration, and ongoing optimization of a SharePoint intranet and PowerApps-based knowledge platform. Local candidates only, active LinkedIn preferred. This role is responsible for ensuring Level 2 call center staff can quickly access accurate, current, and searchable knowledge while handling live calls. The ideal candidate will coordinate closely with stakeholders to improve usability, streamline content management, and enhance overall operational efficiency of SharePoint intranet site.
***Contract is 6 months.

MANDATORY SKILLS / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor s Degree
Minimum 6 years experience in the design, development, and maintenance of SharePoint sites
At least 3-years of experience in PowerApps
At least 4-years of experience delivering SharePoint site architecture, navigation, and user experience
Experience gathering and translating business and operational requirements into functional solutions
Experience in SharePoint Administration including defining and managing role-based access controls and permissions
Experience coordinating across multiple stakeholders, managing dependencies, and supporting phased implementation efforts
Strong documentation, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills
Experience supporting call center or operations environments with knowledge management tools preferred
SCOPE OF SERVICES
Site Design, Structure, and User Experience
Design, build, and maintain SharePoint intranet and PowerApps knowledge base architecture, navigation, and page structure
Facilitate stakeholder review cycles and incorporate feedback to improve usability and adoption
Maintain inventory of pages and site sections
Content Management and Readiness Coordination
Coordinate content intake and population across contributors
Ensure content is organized, searchable, and formatted for efficient use during live operations
Track and resolve content dependencies and review bottlenecks with content owners
Requirements Definition
Translate call center operational needs into requirements for navigation, search functionality, and usability
Define expectations for integrated tools (e.g., Power Apps), including performance, accessibility, and availability
Recommend design improvements to enhance usability and reduce navigation friction
Stakeholder Management and Coordination
Coordinate sequencing of work and manage handoffs across technical teams and stakeholders
Support phased migration strategies to reduce duplication and improve knowledge organization
Access Control and Operational Readiness
Define and manage role-based access permissions (admin, editor, read-only)
Identify, escalate, and resolve SharePoint access and permission issues
Progress Communication and Documentation
Develop walkthrough materials and recordings for onboarding and stakeholder review
Maintain clear documentation including meeting notes, action items, and status updates
