Senior SCADA / OT Engineer (Ignition)

Position Overview

Seeking a Senior SCADA / OT Engineer with deep hands-on Ignition experience to support industrial and natural gas/pipeline operational technology environments.

This role is focused on Ignition development, SCADA/OT integration, industrial data, and IoT Edge technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support Ignition SCADA applications
• Build solutions using Ignition Perspective/Vision, Gateway scripting, tags, historian, and Named Queries
• Integrate PLCs, RTUs, PACs, and other industrial/OT devices
• Work with Modbus, MQTT, and Kafka
• Develop and support solutions using SQL, MySQL, and PostgreSQL
• Support IoT Edge devices and containerized applications
• Troubleshoot and optimize SCADA/OT systems
• Collaborate with operations, automation, SCADA, and OT/IT teams

Must-Haves

1. 3–5+ years hands-on Ignition experience
2. SQL, MySQL, PostgreSQL scripting/database experience
3. OT device/protocol knowledge — Modbus, MQTT, Kafka
4. IoT Edge devices and containerization
5. 6+ years overall SCADA, OT, or industrial automation experience

Oil & gas, midstream, pipeline, energy, utilities, manufacturing, or similar industrial experience is preferred.
