QA Lead

Hiring for QA Lead @ Plano, TX for a contract position on W2.

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Test Lead Quality Assurance to lead and manage end-to-end testing activities for data-driven and enterprise applications. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Databricks, Snowflake, hands-on experience with relational and NoSQL databases (Oracle, MongoDB, etc.), and proven leadership in QA strategy, planning, and execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead and manage QA activities across multiple projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables.

Define and implement overall test strategy, test plans, and test execution schedules.

Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to understand requirements and ensure test coverage.

Perform and oversee functional, integration, system, regression, and UAT testing.

Validate data accuracy, transformation, and integrity in Snowflake data warehouse environments.

Execute backend and data validation testing using SQL and database queries.

Work with databases such as Oracle, Databricks, MongoDB, and other NoSQL databases for data verification and testing.

Review and approve test cases, test scripts, and defect reports.

Track defects, analyze root causes, and ensure timely resolution.

Mentor and guide QA team members, ensuring adherence to QA best practices.

Prepare and present test metrics, dashboards, and status reports to leadership.

Support automation initiatives and collaborate with automation teams where applicable.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

10+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance, with at least 3 years as a Test Lead.

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake for data validation and testing.

Proficiency in SQL and backend testing.

Experience working with databases such as:

o Oracle

o MongoDB

o Databricks

o Other NoSQL databases

Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts, ETL testing, and data pipelines.

Experience with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, ALM, TestRail).

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
