Summary

Eagle Integrated Services, LLC (EIS) is seeking an Associate System Administrator to join our Information Technology Support Services team in support of the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) at the National Emergency Training Center (NETC) in Emmitsburg, Maryland.

The Associate System Administrator will provide hands-on technical support to users, systems, hardware, software, network devices, telecommunications, and classroom technology while supporting federal IT and security requirements.

What You'll Do:
  • Assess, troubleshoot, and resolve a range of systems support issues.
  • Support authorized software and hardware products.
  • Guide users through technical problem resolution.
  • Install, upgrade, monitor, and maintain authorized computer equipment and related devices.
  • Train users on computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, and email.
  • Respond to critical systems security events.
  • Educate users on mitigating system vulnerabilities consistent with Risk Management Framework objectives.
  • Triage inbound user work orders through the work-order portal within established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Effectively use remote systems management tools.
  • Install approved software for authorized and supported users.
  • Prepare software packages for deployment through push methodologies.
  • Prepare and execute software updates, security updates, vendor patches, service packs, and service releases for end-user devices.
  • Assist users in determining service requirements and developing appropriate technical specifications.
  • Provide guidance regarding available automation functions, system capabilities, communications requirements, system administration, information management systems, operating systems, equipment, and infrastructure compatibility.
  • Recommend approved equipment and software.
  • Configure end-user and network devices, including computers, printers, laptops, scanners, PDAs, and other authorized hardware.
  • Install new computers in accordance with the customer's Life Cycle Replacement Policy.
  • Provide all aspects of support for secure and non-secure video teleconference events.
  • Provision and maintain on-premises VoIP phone systems.
  • Perform light network connectivity and cabling.
  • Provide basic troubleshooting for laptops, projectors, networking equipment, and printers.

What You Bring:

Required:
  • Three (3) years of previous closely related experience if the preferred bachelor's degree is not held.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • A+ certification.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple work orders simultaneously.
  • Professional interpersonal skills, demeanor, and appearance.
  • Reliable and punctual.
  • Well-organized.
  • Comfortable working in classroom and field environments.
  • Ability to follow SOPs and comply with federal IT and security policies.
  • Ability to lift more than 35 pounds and move between buildings as required.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to support classroom setups, outages, and last-minute scheduling changes.
  • Ability to work weekends, up to 25%.
  • Ability to stay overnight in dorms during emergencies, up to 10%.
