About the Role
We are seeking a strong Java Developer immediately in a remote role in Seattle, Washington. This role supports the CCS modernization effort by upgrading existing Java components from Java 8 to Java 11+, refactoring affected code, and ensuring smooth integration with upgraded Documentum and Web Methods components. The developer will partner with Kiro to accelerate analysis, refactoring, and modernization activities.
What You'll Do
- Upgrade CCS Java services from Java 8 to Java 11+
- Refactor code impacted by deprecated/removed APIs, library updates, and new Java features
- Redesign and validate Java integrations with the new Documentum environment
- Collaborate with WebMethods developers to ensure seamless endtoend communication
- Use Kiro to accelerate:
- Codebase analysis
- Automated refactoring proposals
- Test generation and gap identification
- Review and validate AIgenerated refactorings and recommendations
- Participate in code reviews, CI/CD improvements, and automated testing
Required Skills
- 5+ years Java development experience (Java 8 and newer)
- Strong understanding of JDK 11 changes and migration considerations
- Experience with REST, Spring/Spring Boot, and integration patterns
- Familiarity with JMS, SOAP/REST integrations, or middleware systems
- Experience reviewing and validating AIgenerated development outputs
- Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle proficiency
Good to Have Skill
- Experience integrating with Documentum or other ECM systems
- Exposure to /container platforms (OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker)

Compensation and Benefits
A candidate s pay within the range will depend on their work location, skills, experience, education, and other factors permitted by law. This role may also be eligible for performance-based bonuses subject to company policies. In addition, this role is eligible for the following benefits subject to company policies: medical, dental, vision, pharmacy, life, accidental death & dismemberment, and disability insurance; employee assistance program; 401(k) retirement plan; 10 days of paid time off per year (some positions are eligible for need-based leave with no designated number of leave days per year); and 10 paid holidays per year.
