Job Summary
We are seeking a Space Innovation Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of innovative space systems and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering, aerospace technologies, and emerging space innovations, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.
Key Responsibilities

Design, analyze, and support the development of space systems, satellites, payloads, or ground systems.

Perform systems engineering activities, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification, and validation.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for space missions and aerospace applications.

Conduct trade studies, feasibility analyses, and system performance evaluations.

Support mission planning, system simulations, and operational readiness activities.

Develop technical documentation, interface control documents, and engineering reports.

Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

Identify technical risks and contribute to mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to improve system performance and mission capabilities.

Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting during development and deployment.
Required Skills

Knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.

Understanding of spacecraft, satellite, payload, or aerospace systems.

Familiarity with systems modeling and simulation tools.

Experience with requirements management and system documentation.

Understanding of systems integration, verification, and validation (IV&V).

Knowledge of software, hardware, and communication systems used in aerospace applications.

Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C++).

Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, or IBM DOORS.

Familiarity with space mission design, orbital mechanics, or satellite communications.

Experience working within systems engineering standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or NASA/ESA systems engineering practices.
