Job Summary

We are seeking a Space Innovation Systems Engineer to support the design, development, integration, and testing of innovative space systems and technologies. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in systems engineering, aerospace technologies, and emerging space innovations, with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, analyze, and support the development of space systems, satellites, payloads, or ground systems.

  • Perform systems engineering activities, including requirements definition, architecture development, integration, verification, and validation.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop innovative solutions for space missions and aerospace applications.

  • Conduct trade studies, feasibility analyses, and system performance evaluations.

  • Support mission planning, system simulations, and operational readiness activities.

  • Develop technical documentation, interface control documents, and engineering reports.

  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, quality requirements, and regulatory guidelines.

  • Identify technical risks and contribute to mitigation strategies throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to improve system performance and mission capabilities.

  • Support system integration, testing, and troubleshooting during development and deployment.

Required Skills

  • Knowledge of systems engineering principles and lifecycle management.

  • Understanding of spacecraft, satellite, payload, or aerospace systems.

  • Familiarity with systems modeling and simulation tools.

  • Experience with requirements management and system documentation.

  • Understanding of systems integration, verification, and validation (IV&V).

  • Knowledge of software, hardware, and communication systems used in aerospace applications.

  • Basic programming or scripting skills (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or C++).

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.

  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as Cameo Systems Modeler, Enterprise Architect, or IBM DOORS.

  • Familiarity with space mission design, orbital mechanics, or satellite communications.

  • Experience working within systems engineering standards such as ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288 or NASA/ESA systems engineering practices.
