* Strong proficiency in enterprise block, NAS, and SAN architectures, including storage provisioning, performance optimization, load distribution, and advanced replication using SRDF/A, SRDF/S, and Snap Mirror.
* Extensive background in implementing and operating enterprise data-protection ecosystems using Avamar, Data Domain, Rubrik, Veeam, and NetBackup with expertise in SLA design, retention tiering, disaster-recovery workflows, and failover validation.
* Skilled in automating storage and backup operations using Bash, and Ansible for health checks, provisioning workflows, consumption analytics, and event-driven remediation.
* Deep experience troubleshooting complex storage performance issues involving latency spikes, queue-depth saturation, degraded HBAs, misconfigured multipathing, and backend bottlenecks using array-native tools.
* Solid understanding of lifecycle and configuration management including code/firmware upgrades, security hardening, compliance validation, and controlled change execution with zero-impact methodologies.
* Hands-on expertise managing object-storage integrations leveraging AWS S3 and Azure Blob for archival, cloud tiering, and long-term retention strategies complementary to on-prem backup systems.
* Advanced SAN engineering experience with Cisco MDS technologies including zoning, IVR, NPIV, fabric diagnostics, ISLs, and fabric-wide performance and availability tuning.
* Strong capability in capacity forecasting, utilization modeling, and optimization of storage efficiency through thin provisioning, compression, deduplication, and reclamation initiatives.
* Experienced in architecting and supporting enterprise NAS environments on Unity and platforms with CIFS/NFS provisioning, quota enforcement, file-level security, and multiprotocol integration.
* Skilled in executing complex data-migration programs using array-based replication, Open Replicator, host-based tools, and volume-manager-assisted mobility with strict data-integrity validation.
* Strong Linux administration background supporting middleware stacks including WebLogic, Tomcat, and Apache, ensuring optimal backend I/O alignment, performance tuning, and storage integration.
* Proficient in designing monitoring frameworks using Splunk, custom API-based scripts, and SNMP-driven alerting to provide full visibility into storage, backup, SAN, and fabric health.
* Experienced in documenting infrastructure architectures, operational standards, DR runbooks, and platform configurations to support audit activities, knowledge transfer, and operational readiness.
