Senior Test Engineer

Hi,

We are looking for a Senior Test Engineer to support qualification testing for a military aerospace program involving rotary and linear electromechanical actuators with integrated electronic controls.

Location: Shelby, NC – Onsite
Duration: 6+ Months

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, execute and document Qualification Test Plans, Test Procedures and Test Reports.

• Translate customer requirements into verification and validation test programs.

• Design/specify, build, debug and qualify test rigs, fixtures and test equipment.

• Develop Statements of Work (SOWs) for external test equipment suppliers and qualification testing services.

• Manage suppliers and external test laboratories through test equipment development and qualification.

• Support environmental, mechanical, thermal, vibration and EMI/EMC qualification testing.

• Troubleshoot test systems and sensors including load cells, torque cells, resolvers and encoders.

• Support testing of electromechanical systems and production test equipment.

Mandatory Requirements:

• 8+ years of Test Engineering experience

• Hands-on MIL-STD-810 environmental qualification testing

• Test rig / test fixture development and qualification experience

• Experience developing SOWs and managing external test equipment suppliers

• Experience with Qualification Test Plans, Procedures and Reports

• Mechanical + Electrical/Electromechanical test engineering experience

• Experience coordinating with external qualification/testing laboratories

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience

Preferred:

• RTCA DO-160G

• MIL-STD-461 / EMI/EMC/ESD

• Aerospace/Defense experience

• Electromechanical actuator testing

• LabVIEW

• Siemens NX / basic 3D modeling

• Experience with electronics and electrical harnesses
