Position: Vitria Administrator
Location: REMOTE
Duration: 12 Months Contract
Summary
Vitria Administrator is responsible for installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Vitria EDI/integration platform, ensuring stable EDI transaction processing, system availability, and compliance with integration standards.
Key Responsibilities
Platform Administration
- Install, configure, and upgrade Vitria (BusinessWare / Integration platform)
- Manage environments (Dev / QA / Prod)
- Configure servers, services, and runtime components
- Maintain application deployments and environment configurations
EDI Operations & Monitoring
- Monitor EDI workflows, transactions, and batch jobs
- Ensure timely processing and error handling of EDI flows
- Track message queues, interfaces, and system health
- Configure alerts and dashboards for proactive monitoring
Issue Resolution & Support
- Troubleshoot EDI transaction failures and system issues
- Perform root cause analysis and fix production incidents
- Support on call/production support rotations
Infrastructure & Security
- Configure communication protocols (AS2, SFTP, FTPS, HTTPS)
- Manage certificates, security keys, and access controls
- Ensure secure data transmission and compliance standards
Integration Support
- Coordinate with developers for deployment of EDI mappings and flows
- Support onboarding of trading partners (configuration setup)
- Maintain connectivity with external partners and internal systems
Performance & Capacity Management
- Monitor system performance and tune configurations
- Handle capacity planning and scaling
- Optimize job scheduling and resource utilization
Documentation & Governance
- Maintain runbooks, SOPs, and operational playbooks
- Track incidents, problem records, and change requests
- Support audits (HIPAA / compliance / internal governance)
Required Skills & Qualifications
Core Skills
- Strong experience with Vitria (BusinessWare / Integration platform)
- Hands-on admin experience in EDI environments
- Experience in application server and middleware administration
EDI & Domain Knowledge
- Knowledge of HIPAA X12 transactions (834, 835, 837, 270/271)
- Understanding of EDI workflows, acknowledgments (TA1, 999, etc.)
- Exposure to healthcare payer/provider domain (preferred)
Technical Skills
- Unix/Linux and shell scripting
- Database basics (DB2 / Oracle / SQL)
- File transfer protocols: AS2, SFTP, FTP/S
- Experience with monitoring tools and log analysis
Soft Skills
- Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
- Ability to work in production support / 24x7 model
- Good stakeholder coordination (BA, QA, partners)
Experience
- Typically, 6–10 years in EDI / Integration support roles
- Admin-level experience in Vitria or similar tools (IBM Sterling, BizTalk, Cleo)
Optional (Nice to Have)
- Automation/scripts for job monitoring
- Cloud exposure (AWS/Azure integration environments)
- Knowledge of DevOps pipelines and release management
