About End-Client The client is a leading US-based designer and builder of custom
automation machinery for industries like medical, automotive, and consumer goods. They
build complex "one-off" machines involving mechanical systems, material handling
systems, robotic arms, PLC controls and programming, and high-speed assembly.

Integrated Mechanical Machines but new to software automation.
The Goal: Transform manual workflows in Sales, Engineering, and Finance into
autonomous, AI-driven processes.

Expert Global Solutions Inc. (An ALTEN Company) - Company Document for C2C Partners
Position Summary This is a greenfield, self-driven role.
AI Engineer will be the first and primary AI Engineer for the organization.
AI Engineer will not just "write code" but will also interview reporting Project Director
/ Department Heads (Mechanical Engineers using Solidworks, PLC Control
Programmers, Project Managers) to understand their bottlenecks, design an Agentic
AI solution, and deploy it.
AI Engineer will build Agentic AI models that autonomously query databases, read
technical PDFs, Microsoft Files, and update ERP systems to reduce manual work by
50-80%.
Key Responsibilities
Agentic AI Development (Python-First): Design and deploy "Agents" that can
reason and act. Example: An agent that reads a Mechanical CAD Bill of Materials
(BOM), checks stock in the ERP system, and flags long-lead items automatically.
Full-Stack Integration: Connect AI models (OpenAI/Anthropic) to internal
enterprise tools via APIs and SQL.
o Target Systems: SOLIDWORKS (CAD), Total ETO (ERP), SAGE (Finance),
Smartsheet, and Microsoft 365.
Internal Product Management: Translate vague business problems (e.g., "Quoting
takes too long") into a concrete Technical Roadmap with milestones and delivery
dates.
RPA & Scripting: Build "glue code" (Python scripts, ETL jobs, Power Automate flows)
to eliminate repetitive data entry between systems.
Collaboration: Act as the technical bridge between the non-technical Project
Director and external Enterprise Systems OEM (ERP Software, CAD Design
Software, etc).
Governance & Training: Establish version control (Git), write clear documentation
for non-technical users, and train engineering teams on how to use the new tools.
Required Experience & Skills
Education: B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Mechatronics, or Software
Engineering.
Core Technical Stack (Must Have):
AI Application Engineer (Agentic AI & RPA Automation)
Expert Global Solutions Inc. (An ALTEN Company) - Company Document for C2C Partners
o Python Mastery: Strong grasp of scripting, data structures, and backend
logic.
o Agentic AI Frameworks: Proven experience with LangChain, CrewAI,
AutoGen, or direct implementation of the OpenAI Assistants API.
o Data Integration: Hands-on experience with REST APIs, SQL, and parsing
unstructured data (PDFs, Excel).
Communication: Exceptional English (Verbal & Written). You must be able to
explain complex AI concepts to Mechanical Engineers who have zero software
background.
