Job Title: Payment Architect

Location: Miami, FL Onsite, 5 days/week
Experience: 12+ years in banking/payment systems

Role Overview:

You will lead the design and implementation of enterprise payment systems, ensuring they meet business goals, comply with regulations, and leverage modern technologies. You ll work across applications, infrastructure, and cloud environments, guiding project teams and aligning solutions with long-term enterprise strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and lead payment solutions architecture (ACH, Wire, RTP, ISO 20022).

• Align project architectures with enterprise standards and business goals.

• Advise and support application and infrastructure teams.

• Monitor existing systems for improvements or gaps.

• Stay current with payment technologies, trends, and compliance regulations.

• Document architecture, guide software selection, and evaluate system impact.

• Collaborate with PMO to ensure projects deliver as planned.

Required Skills & Experience:

• 12 15+ years in banking/payment systems and IT architecture.

• Hands-on with payment platforms, real-time payments, SWIFT, and financial integrations (Plaid, Venmo, Zelle).

• Strong knowledge of cloud-native architecture (AWS preferred), APIs, microservices, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).

• Experience with enterprise architecture tools (BizzDesign, Archi, Lucid) and modeling notations (UML, BPMN, ArchiMate).

• Familiarity with agile/SAFe frameworks.

• Leadership, strategic thinking, and strong communication skills.

• Certifications like CISSP, CISA, TOGAF, or CISM are a plus.

Education:

• Bachelor s or higher in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
