Roles and Responsibilities:
Provide overall project management, oversight, and direction.
Ensure the timely completion of quality contract deliverables.
Maintain the System Project Schedule.
Responsible for performance and contract compliance, and managing the Contractor’s project teams, including subcontractors.
Ensure the project work plans are adhered to and coordinated with the CDPH Project Manager when changes to system and/or processes occur based upon change control approvals.
Collaborate with the CDPH Project Manager to define Project and Program Management processes.
Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and disseminate meeting minutes to CDPH project staff as appropriate.
Facilitate conference calls and Webinars at agreed-upon intervals with the State.
Responsible for accurate invoicing.
Develop the deliverables by using the appropriate tools as dictated in the contract.
Document, manage, and communicate all project issues and risk management, including monitoring risk levels, defining mitigation strategies, escalation paths, and managing the execution of the resolution.
Prepare Project Status Reports, including actual versus planned activities, planned tasks for the upcoming sprint period, task and activity priorities, and workstream tasks and activities.
Develop the Knowledge Transfer Plan to meet the objectives defined in SECTION 28. Knowledge Transfer and/or Training.
Manage project contracts, including contractor-related project resources, and availability of appropriate resources throughout the term of the contract.
Responsible for problem resolution.
Day-to-day is the primary point of contact for the State, including being the liaison with the State on project Change Orders.
Perform other duties as required.
Coordinating and responding to requests from the IV&V team.
Mandatory Experience:
A minimum of seven (7) years of experience as an IT Senior Project Manager applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools.
A minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Senior Project Manager on large-scale IT system integration projects with a contract value over $5,000,000.
A minimum of two (2) years of experience managing virtual teams with at least ten (10) team members.
One of the following current Project Management Certifications: PMI
Program Management Professional (PgMP)®
PMI Project Management Professional (PMP).
Desirable Experience:
One (1) to three (3) years of experience as the Project Manager implementing or maintaining a public sector system.
