Summary

Senior Project Engineer plans, schedules, conducts, and coordinates engineering work for transmission and utility infrastructure projects. At the higher level, this role serves as a senior technical advisor on large, complex, and highprofile initiatives.

Preferred Experience & Knowledge

Understanding of ERCOT market rules, including Nodal Protocols, Market Guides, and the RPG project process
Transmission planning experience, including familiarity with NERC TPL standards and the ERCOT Planning Guide
Ability to identify nearterm and longterm transmission system upgrade needs
Familiarity with power system analysis fundamentals, highvoltage transmission lines, and substation equipment
Ability to interpret engineering documentation such as oneline diagrams, physical layouts, grading & drainage plans, plan & profiles, and geotechnical reports

Education Requirements

Bachelor s Degree in Engineering from an ABETaccredited institution
Master s Degree in Engineering preferred

Experience Requirements

Project Engineer III:
- Bachelor s degree plus 4+ years of engineering experience
- OR 3+ years with FE/EIT certification
- OR 3+ years with a Master s degree
Project Engineer IV:
- Bachelor s degree plus 5 7 years of progressive engineering experience
- Demonstrated seniorlevel technical responsibility

Preferred Certifications & Licenses

Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred
FE/EIT certification preferred (Engineer III)
Valid driver s license meeting company requirements
