We are seeking a highly skilled Instrument & Controls Engineer: III to lead critical project engineering initiatives at our Sabine Pass and Beaumont facilities in Texas. This role offers the opportunity to work on multiple complex I&C projects, ensuring operational excellence and safety in a prestigious industry setting.

In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for managing project scopes from inception through closeout, collaborating with cross-functional teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver innovative solutions. Your expertise will help shape the infrastructure that powers our energy terminals, making a tangible difference in the industry.

Required Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology with 12+ years of industry experience
  • Proven project engineering experience at operating facilities, managing small capital and expense projects
  • Strong knowledge of Field Instrumentation and Controls, Actuated Valve Design, Distributed Control Systems, Safety Systems, PLCs, and related technologies
  • Experience with Smart Plant Instrumentation, Wireless Devices, HMI Development, Analyzer and Communication Systems, and Instrumentation Cabling
  • Familiarity with Modbus networks, SCADA, and TCP/IP transmission systems
  • Demonstrated ability to coordinate loop checks, function tests, site acceptance testing, and troubleshooting
  • Budget and schedule management skills within permissible tolerances
  • Knowledge of petrochemical industry safety practices and procedures

Nice to Have Skills:

  • Experience with Marine vessel loading infrastructure instrumentation
  • Working knowledge of automation and safety system integration on large-scale industrial projects
  • Proficiency in Bluebeam and advanced Microsoft Office Suite applications
  • Familiarity with commissioning and startup planning

Preferred Education and Experience:

  • Degree in Engineering or Technology related field
  • Over a decade of direct experience in project engineering within the energy or petrochemical industries
  • Prior involvement in multi-project environments, especially in operational facilities

Other Requirements:

  • Ability to work a Monday through Friday schedule, 40 hours per week
  • Willingness to travel between Beaumont and Sabine Pass facilities (approx. 30% Beaumont, 70% Sabine Pass)
  • Strong safety awareness and adherence to environmental, health, and safety standards
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
