About the role We are seeking a highly skilled front-end-focused Senior Software Engineer to join our dynamic development team. As a senior engineer, you will be responsible for building beautiful, scalable, responsive user experiences using React and other latest front-end technologies, while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Our platform leverages Next.js, React, MUI, Zustand, React-Query, and C#, MSSQL .
What you'll do- Architect, develop, and continuously enhance scalable, high-performing web applications built on Next.js and React that handle complex business workflows, with a focus on performance, maintainability, and user experience.
- Work with product and design teams to understand end-user requirements and create solutions that impact our customers, borrowers, and internal users.
- Convert UX/UI concepts into functional prototypes and production-ready code, leveraging reusable component libraries and MUI design systems following industry best practices.
- Lead code and design reviews, and mentor junior engineers, including establishing standards around AI-assisted development workflows to ensure consistent code quality and velocity.
- Drive adoption of agentic development practices using tools like Claude CLI, structured markdown specs, and AI-assisted code generation.
- Collaborate with QA to ensure comprehensive test coverage and assist in diagnosing and resolving issues, including leveraging AI tooling for faster root cause analysis.
- Partner closely with backend engineers to design and integrate reliable APIs, optimize frontend-backend data flows, and ensure seamless end-to-end application performance across the full web stack.
Qualifications- 5+ years of strong frontend engineering experience with deep expertise in React, Next.js, TypeScript, and modern web application architecture.
- Deep expertise in component-based architecture, React hooks, and modern state management, hands-on experience with Zustand, React Query, or similar lightweight state and data-fetching libraries preferred.
- Proficiency with MUI (Material UI) and experience building, scaling, and maintaining reusable, composable design systems and component libraries.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end web application workflows, including frontend-backend integration, API-driven development, authentication flows, performance optimization, and production-grade application delivery.
- Comfort working in an AI-assisted development environment, including prompt-driven workflows, markdown-based specs/documentation, and CLI tools such as Claude CLI or similar AI coding assistants.
- Solid understanding of modern CSS, responsive design, accessibility standards, and front-end performance optimization techniques.
- Strong problem-solving, technical communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to prioritize and execute effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

The pay range for this role is:
150,000 - 165,000 USD per year (Huntington Beach, CA)
