WHAT WE'RE DOING
Lockheed Martin is advancing next-generation command and control capabilities to support critical missions through scalable, data-driven systems. You will join the Enterprise Mission C2 (EMC2) organization leading the Radar & Advanced Comms Integration and Support Team in Valley Forge, PA.

We are seeking an experienced Full Spectrum Leader with experience in leading multi-disciplinary teams working toward varying objectives. This organization has two product teams:

One team is focused on Advanced Communication Capabilities (such as 5G), working across RMS - Mission Integrated Command & Control (MIC2) on program or internal investment portfolios with partnership with Enterprise Technologies.

The second team develops the Scalable S-Band Radar (S4R) Mission Planner Module (MPM) and supports Radar Control Processor (RCP) design engineering. These engineers develop radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction, signal processing, and radar control processing components within simulation and digital twin environments - in support of the Maritime & Missile Defense Radar Products (MMDR).

As a Full Spectrum Leader, you will be responsible for leading an organization of 15+ high-performing engineers to incrementally deliver capabilities across these various program portfolios.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Oversee the planning and execution of tasking across the Radar & Advanced Comms Integration and Support Team.
Oversee the systems and software engineering efforts of the Mission Planner Module (MPM), delivering high performance and mature requirements, test procedures, and C++ software for radar modeling, scene modeling, signal construction and processing, and radar control processing components.
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to develop and execute supporting roadmaps across both engineering teams, while identifying resource, staffing, and capability needs.
Participate in technical reviews to foster a continuous improvement mindset and strengthen the quality of delivered artifacts.
This Manager will be responsible for ensuring that appropriate engineering processes, technical personnel, and design tools are applied and managed.

PEOPLE:

Establishes and implements organizational training and development plans
Fosters employee feedback, recognition, and engagement
Ensures flow-down of tactical information and strategic vision

CUSTOMERS / GROWTH / FINANCIALS:
Provides technical leadership and oversight of program performance
Ensures cost, schedule and technical commitments are met for all programs and products
Ensures appropriate BOE's are applied, risks and opportunities identified, and approves cost estimates
Manages staffing and resource allocation across programs to meet technical, cost and schedule
Supports a growth mindset implementing continuous improvements through 1LMX and AI/ML Engineering capability adoption.
Process, tools, common products, infrastructure, and services and drives a 1LM Digital Data Environment wherever possible across our centers.
Drives to ensure we keep pace with emerging technologies with current and future staff while supporting our IRAD and Functional Projects investments.

You are comfortable leading a diverse set of Systems and Software engineering tasks, seeking to participate across a broad set of organizational stakeholders within the RMS Business Area. You enjoy hands-on engagement in day-to-day development activities, thrive in collaborative environments, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and are motivated by delivering solutions that perform in real-world conditions.

Basic Qualifications

10+ years of software, systems, radar, sig pro engineering experience.
Demonstrated informal or formal leadership of small, high-performing engineering teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
Demonstrated technical or functional leadership of a team which operated across organizational or location boundaries (remote, multi-site, across-LOB, across-BA, etc.)

Desired skills

Master's Degree or higher preferred
Strong mathematics background in linear algebra, statistical analysis and signal processing.
Functional knowledge of Radar systems, subsystems and designs with familiarity of design tools for radar modeling.
Radar systems development experience including algorithms, software, data analysis, and modeling and simulation.

Work Schedule Information

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $122,900 - $216,660. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.
(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.

Premium Pay Statement

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $141,300 - $244,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
