Desktop Support Analyst

Location- Remote

Job Summary

The Desktop Support Analyst is responsible for providing technical support to end users by troubleshooting hardware, software, network, and system issues. The role ensures that desktop computers, laptops, peripherals, and business applications function efficiently to support daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first-level and second-level technical support to users.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, operating system, and connectivity issues.
  • Set up user accounts, email accounts, and access permissions.
  • Respond to support tickets, phone calls, and walk-up requests in a timely manner.
  • Perform software installations, upgrades, and patches.
  • Assist with onboarding and offboarding activities, including device setup and asset recovery.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of incidents, resolutions, and IT assets.
  • Support remote users through remote-access tools.
  • Escalate complex technical issues to appropriate teams when necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with IT security policies and procedures.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Windows operating systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Understanding of computer hardware, networking fundamentals, and troubleshooting techniques.
  • Familiarity with Active Directory, user account management, and ticketing systems.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with Microsoft 365 administration.
  • Knowledge of remote support tools.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN).
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service management tools.
