Location: Chicago, Illinois (Hybrid, 3 days onsite)
Role Overview
This position supports a mission-critical, client-facing wealth management application. The Production Support Engineer will provide day-to-day production support, troubleshoot issues, resolve incidents, and collaborate with application development teams, business partners, and client servicing teams.
The role involves managing an average of 30-50 tickets per week in an environment running on Azure Cloud, PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry), and WebLogic platforms.Key Responsibilities
- * Troubleshoot code-level production issues through monitoring, log analysis, and technical analysis.
- Provide day-to-day production support for a wealth management application built with Java, Spring Boot, and REST APIs.
- Lead production stability efforts by preventing issues and improving application stability.
- Track, manage, and resolve incidents, changes, and problems for assigned applications.
- Provide regular updates to stakeholders on incident progress and SLA risks.
- Collaborate with project and development teams to prioritize fixes and releases.
- Ensure compliance with all audit requirements, including change control procedures and data security.
- Coordinate with onsite and offshore teams to support applications and drive continuous improvement.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule (approximately one week every three weeks) for after-hours and weekend support of critical incidents.
Required Qualifications
Experience:- Proven experience in a production support or development role.
- Hands-on technical capability to troubleshoot code-level issues, perform technical analysis, and make code changes.
- Experience supporting mission-critical, enterprise-level applications.
- Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
- Ability to review and understand application architecture.
Technical Skills: Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Azure and/or PCF (Pivotal Cloud Foundry).
- Experience in the banking or financial services industry.
- Exposure to JavaScript, UI, or other front-end technologies.
- Experience in a Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or Service Delivery role.
