Summary

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Infrastructure Operations Manager to lead datacenter operations for our client in Edison, NJ. This fully onsite role requires hands-on expertise in VMware environments and networking to ensure seamless, reliable infrastructure performance. Ideal candidates bring 12+ years of progressive experience driving operational excellence in mission-critical datacenter settings.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day data center operations, including capacity planning, performance monitoring, and incident management.
Manage VMware virtualization infrastructure (vSphere, ESXi, vCenter) with hands-on troubleshooting, upgrades, and optimization.
Lead networking operations, including configuration, monitoring, and maintenance of switches, routers, firewalls, and load balancers
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement infrastructure best practices, disaster recovery, and high-availability strategies.
Conduct root cause analysis for incidents, develop SLAs, and drive continuous improvements in uptime and efficiency.
Ensure compliance with security protocols, audits, and industry standards
Mentor junior staff and coordinate with vendors for hardware/software support.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 12+ years of hands-on experience in datacenter operations and infrastructure management.
Strong technical expertise in VMware (vSphere 7+, NSX, vRealize) with proven deployment and administration experience.
Deep knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, VLANs, SDN) and hardware
Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Nagios), automation (e.g., Ansible, PowerCLI), and cloud-hybrid environments.
