Position - Oracle DBA
Location - Little Rock AR

Duration - Long term

For this role, Client is looking for 10+ years exp, relocation candidates are fine, prefer locals

Core Technical Skills:

·         Database Administration: Installing, configuring, patching, and upgrading Oracle Databases.

·         Backup and Recovery: Expertise in Oracle Recovery Manager (RMAN) for data protection, Data Pump (EXPDP/IMPDPD)

·         SQL & PL/SQL: High proficiency in querying and scripting to manage data.

·         Performance Tuning: Monitoring, diagnosing, and optimizing SQL queries and database instances.

·         Operating Systems: Proficiency in Linux/Unix environments.

·         Security & Compliance: Managing user access, roles, privileges, auditing, and encryption.

·         Proficient in shell scripting to create/update Cron jobs.

Oracle Forms and Reports administration:

·         Installation & Configuration: Setting up Oracle Forms/Reports, running the Repository Creation Utility (RCU), and configuring domains using the Configuration Wizard.

·         Monitoring & Performance: Using Oracle Enterprise Manager Fusion Middleware Control to monitor Reports Server, manage job queues, and optimize performance.

·         Security Management: Securing applications with Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and Oracle Access Manager (OAM).

·         Environment Setup: Managing, configuring and setting up file transfers.

·         Deployment: Deploying and managing forms, reports, and ensuring proper connectivity to the Oracle Database.

·         Experience/Knowledge in Apex/BI Publisher Migration, Installing, configuring, and maintaining.

Advanced & Cloud Skills

·         Cloud Infrastructure: Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), AWS RDS, or Azure.

·         Data Guard/RAC: Managing Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) and Data Guard for high availability and disaster recovery.

·         Automation: Scripting (Shell, Python) to automate routine maintenance tasks.

·         Data Modeling & Warehousing: Understanding database design, ETL processes, and warehousing.

·         Knowledge on Batch scheduling tools (EX: CA Workload Automation).

Soft Skills

·         Problem-Solving: Troubleshooting critical production issues under pressure.

·         Communication: Interacting with developers, system admins, and management.

·         Project Management: Time management for upgrades and migrations.

Common Certifications/Roles

·         Roles: Oracle Database Administrator, Production DBA, Application DBA.

·         Certifications: Oracle Database SQL Certified Associate, Oracle Database Administration Certified Professional.
