Job Title: Senior Data Engineer

Job Type: Contract

Job Description:

Pay Range: $65.54hr - $70.54hr

The Sr. Data Engineer will design, build, and maintain enterprise data infrastructure including data warehouses, data lakes, and data access APIs.
This role focuses on data modeling, ETL/ELT development, analytics enablement, and best practices to ensure scalable, reliable, and high-performance data solutions.
The engineer will translate complex data into actionable insights and support data-driven decision-making across key initiatives.

Requirement/Must Have:

Strong experience developing and maintaining data infrastructure such as data warehouses and data lakes.
Hands-on experience with ETL and ELT development and data integration from multiple sources.
Strong knowledge of database design, data modeling, and data movement concepts.
Proficiency in at least one programming language such as SQL, NoSQL, or Python.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot complex data issues.
Strong organizational and written and verbal communication skills.

Experience:

Experience with database design and data modeling tools.
Experience developing and updating ETL and ELT scripts.
Hands-on experience with application development and relational database layouts.
Experience preparing, manipulating, and analyzing data using multiple technologies.

Responsibilities:

Develop and maintain infrastructure systems including data warehouses, data lakes, and data access APIs.
Prepare, manipulate, and integrate data using multiple technologies.
Interpret data and analyze results using statistical techniques to deliver ongoing reports and insights.
Execute quantitative analyses to support data-driven decision-making for key projects.
Design, manage, and conduct quality control procedures for datasets from multiple systems.
Develop data models by evaluating existing architectures and applying modeling standards and guidelines.
Create data collection frameworks for structured and unstructured data.
Apply data extraction, transformation, and loading techniques to connect large datasets from diverse sources.
Implement best practices for data auditing, scalability, reliability, and application performance.
Continuously improve data engineering knowledge through professional development and industry engagement.

Should Have:

Experience working with metadata management, data retention, backup, and recovery strategies.
Experience supporting analytics and reporting use cases across enterprise systems.

Skills:

Data engineering and data modeling.
ETL and ELT development.
SQL, NoSQL, and Python.
Data quality, auditing, and governance.
Analytical reporting and quantitative analysis.
Scalable and reliable data system design.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
Equivalent relevant work experience may be considered in place of formal education.
