Role Overview

This position is for a BISO (Business Information Security Officer) Engineer who will act as an embedded cybersecurity practitioner. The role involves bridging the gap between enterprise security strategy and operational technology environments. The engineer will partner with IT, OT, and business stakeholders to identify risks, manage remediation efforts, and translate security requirements into actionable programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary cybersecurity liaison for assigned business units, translating enterprise security policies into specific controls.
• Conduct and support risk assessments, vulnerability management reviews, and security posture evaluations.
• Lead or support security initiatives, including WAF/firewall configurations, identity and access management reviews, and cloud security posture.
• Represent the business unit in change management and security governance forums.
• Coordinate with enterprise SIEM (Splunk), network security (Palo Alto/Panorama), and application security platforms (e.g., Imperva Cloud WAF).
• Support merger and acquisition integration activities, including network segmentation and security baseline validation.
• Develop and maintain security documentation such as policies, runbooks, and remediation plans.
• Engage with stakeholders at all levels and present risk posture and program status to senior management.

Required Qualifications

Education: A bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is required.

Experience: 11-15 years of experience leading enterprise network projects, cybersecurity initiatives, and network optimization strategies. This includes at least 5 years in cybersecurity engineering, architecture, or risk management.

Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with WAF, NGFW (Palo Alto preferred), SIEM, or vulnerability management platforms. A strong understanding of NIST CSF, CMMC, or equivalent frameworks is also required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in the energy, utilities, or OT/ICS environments.
• Familiarity with Imperva Cloud WAF, Illumio, Splunk, or Panorama.
• A CISSP, CISM, or equivalent certification.
• Experience supporting M&A cybersecurity integration.
