Job Description:
Role: Responsible for leading the planning, coordination, and execution of software releases across all environments, ensuring alignment with business objectives, technical readiness, and operational stability.
Goals: Deliver efficient, timely, and high-quality software releases by owning and enforcing release tollgates, while proactively identifying and mitigating risks throughout the release lifecycle.
 
Responsibilities:
Plan and coordinate release schedules across teams
Identify and mitigate risks to ensure successful delivery
Enforce tollgate checkpoints and compliance standards
Own and ensure adherence to the change management process
Oversee overall release readiness
Manage release communications and stakeholder engagement
Maintain and archive all required documentation and artifacts
Collaborate with various stakeholders; bridging the gap between teams
Monitor and improve release processes
Lead retrospectives and document lessons learned
 
Required Skills:
Project planning, scheduling, and coordination
Change and release management ownership
Calendar and runbook creation
Risk identification and mitigation
Quality assurance understanding, including testing and post-release validation
Attention to detail and process compliance
Strong written and verbal communication
Stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration
Negotiation and leadership skills
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Documentation and artifact management
Organizational and time management skills
 
Required Tool Proficiency:
ITSM Remedy or ServiceNow
Atlassian tools including proficiency in Jira
Familiarity with release automation and CI/CD tools
Fundamentals of version control topology
